Cast Announced for SCC’s Radio Suspense Theatre performance Nov. 15, 16 and 17

The cast is in place and rehearsals are underway for Somerset Community College Theatre Department’s fall production Radio Suspense Theatre: The Final Episode. This play production is the last in a series of plays that began ten years ago in the summer of 1997. The play will be performed at 8 p.m. in Stoner Little Theater on the SCC Somerset Campus on November 15, 16 and 17. Tickets will go on sale Monday, November 5th.

The cast for this final installment brings veteran actors performing their recurring roles, as well as new faces to brighten the stage.

John Alexander played the role of the lively Morty Sparks in the original play of the series and returns here to finish out the role. Alexander has also appeared in such SCC stage productions as Plan Nine From Outer Space, The Jack Tales and Arsenic & Old Lace.

Like Alexander, Eric Whitson is the only actor who has played his role in all six installments of Radio Suspense Theatre. He will return one final time to play the role of the irascible Allen Burns. Whitson has also played roles in SCC productions of The Rainmaker and Arsenic & Old Lace.

Other actors returning to play recurring roles include Theresa Kibby as Lauren McNair; Ryan Stogsdill as Buddy Carlson; Dexter Silvers as Douglas Beverly and Emily Wesley as Sandy Sawyer.

Newcomers to the Radio Suspense Theatre Ensemble include Nicole McCarty as Bonnie Brewer; Micah McQueary as Richard Dunlap; Crockett Anderson as Ned Styles; Elliot Cleberg as Sonny Carlson; James Morgan as Billy Hardy; Helen Butler as Audrey Clarke; Lindsey Sexton as Lois McIntyre; Emily McCarty as Jessica Conoway; Jeremy Boggs as Sam Snead and Keifer Adkins as reporter Donald Hearst.

Production crew for Radio Suspense Theatre include Stephanie Wallen, Chris Hughes, Matt Citiak, Drew Shakelford and Julie Thorn.
