Weekend Filmmaking Challenge Begins September 20 at SCC

Do you think you have what it takes to make a film in only three days? SCC Theatre’s “Weekend Filmmaking Challenge” is designed to challenge local filmmakers and film enthusiasts to put together a film, no longer than six minutes in length, which adheres to all the elements of the challenge.

Each team is challenged to the following:

  • All teams must use the same script to be revealed at the Thursday kickoff meeting.
  • Each team will draw a theme that their film must follow.
  • Each team will draw a prop which they must use in their film.
  • Each film must be under six minutes in length.
  • The film must be completed before the deadline.

The kick-off meeting is Thursday, September 20 at 7 p.m. in SCC’s Stoner Little Theatre, located on the SCC Somerset Campus North, 808 Monticello Street, Somerset.

Film teams will receive their challenge and then will have until Sunday afternoon to complete a six minute film which will be presented on Sunday evening, September 23 at 7:30 p.m.
