Degrees & Certificates

SCC offers associate degrees as well as diplomas and certificates in various fields of study. If you want a four-year degree, SCC is a great place to begin your higher education because it provides an affordable, quality education close to home.

Pre-Professional Transfers

SCC credits transfer to all Kentucky public universities. You can complete your freshman and sophomore years at SCC by earning an associate degree, and it's easy to transfer because SCC has special program agreements with the majority of Kentucky colleges and universities. Your SCC advisor can provide you with the details. (go to Academic Advising)

Associate Degree (60 to 70 credit hours)

Transfer degrees – First two years of general education classes for a four year degree. (Download Block Transfer form)
Technical/professional degrees – Many of which can also transfer to a four-year program.

Diplomas (36 to 68 credit hours)

Diplomas are designed to prepare students for employment in a specific technical field. learn more

Certificates (12 to 36 credit hours)

Certificates are primarily offered in a technical program and can be earned in as little as one semester, depending on the program.
