Continuing Education for
License Holders
The Office of Community, Workforce, and Economic Development provides continuing education classes to meet the state licensing requirements in the following areas:
Electrician and Master Electrician
These courses meet the Kentucky license requirement for continuing education for electricians or master electricians. This course will present selected topics related to NEC topics and calculations/sizing. "Safety Topics" will be included as a part of presentation.
Electrical Contractor
These courses meet the Kentucky license requirement for continuing education for electrical contractors. The courses deal with business issues critical to the success of contractors. Spend six hours in this ‘Marketing Lab’ and you’ll be ready to implement a powerful strategy to create a stronger, more consistent income stream without a huge marketing budget.
HVAC
These Courses meet the Kentucky license requirement for continuing education for HVAC. A series of lectures, discussions and presentations pertaining to HVAC safety and OSHA rules and regulations will be covered.
Wastewater Maintenance Systems
These courses meet the Kentucky license requirement for continuing education for Wastewater system installers. Topics for this course will be delivered by a partnership with Kentucky Onsite Wastewater Association.
Insurance — Life, Health, Property and Casualty
The school of insurance provides mandated continuing education for Life & Health licensed agents and Property & Casualty licensed agents. Participants are awarded college credit for their attendance. All programs are administered through the Community, Workforce and Economic Development Department.
Plumbing
These courses will meet the Kentucky License requirement for continuing education for journeyman and master plumbers.
Early Childhood Development
SCC offers a wide range of topics for Childcare Providers to meet the state requirements for Continuing Ed. These courses will be offered throughout the year in the evenings and on the weekends to meet your scheduling needs.
