Somerset Community College Employees Honored for Service to College

Employees at Somerset Community College were recently recognized for their service during the 2013 Fall Academic Convocation. The event was held August 7 at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset.

Also honored at the 2013 Academic Convocation were Dr. Wanda Dodson, Reverend Avis Lynette Thompson (award accepted by Cheyenne Cornett-Little) and Dr. Mike Searcy. All three were honored for their commitment to diversity and assistance with diversity initiatives at SCC.

Jennifer Blalock, chief students support officer at Phi Theta Kappa, served as the guest speaker for the event.
