What: Kentucky Chautauqua Performance of Mark Twain
When: September 17, 12:30 - 1:45 p.m.
Where: Somerset North Campus, Meece Auditorium
In an effort to increase the numbers of offerings for students at all SCC campuses and centers, the Student Government Association has been coordinating events and increasing the numbers of student organizations available to students at all locations.
As part of their initiative, please support SGA’s “Chautauqua Series for 2013-2014.” Kentucky Chautauqua performers travel throughout the state delivering to community organizations their historically accurate dramatizations of Kentuckians who made a difference. The program provides an entertaining and educational experience for participants. The aim is to have one Chautauqua presentation at each campus/center over the next few months, as funding allows.
The first in the series will be "Mark Twain" portrayed by Robert Brock. This presentation will be held September 17 from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. on the Somerset Campus in Meece Auditorium. There is no charge to attend.
This program is funded in part by the Kentucky Humanities Council. To learn more, go to: http://www.kyhumanities.org/chautauquacharacters.html. Please mark your calendars now and make plans to attend.
