KIDS KOLLEGE 2007 CLASSES & STAFF
JOURNEY TO THE OCEAN’S FLOOR, T. J. Bower: This course in Oceanography is sure to fascinate even the youngest Jacques Cousteau. Learn about underwater habitat. See fabulous underwater scenes. See and FEEL a starfish, crayfish, sponge and clam. What about sharks? You’ll see one … feel one … DISSECT one!
KIDZ & KOMPUTERZ, Dana Muse: This hands-on educational class will include computer basics, graphics, pictures and more. Have fun while you increase your knowledge of the computer and its capabilities. For those with some computer knowledge, a more advanced approach will be used. Kids must have completed 1st grade in order to take this class.)
ABRACADABRA ABSTRACTS, Christina Hughes: Chocked full of fun, this abstract painting class will bring out the artist in you! This “colorful” class will explore techniques such as dripping, “splatting”, pouring, and creating texture, all of which will be used in your very own take-home-to-display masterpiece!
I WANT TO PLAY … Jared Swearingen & Rusty Pyles: As one of our most requested classes, we're back with a variety of organized sports and games, with emphasis being placed on rules and sportsmanship. New games … new challenges, but as always, you win some; you lose some, but everyone suffers the consequences with whipped cream pies in the face, cracked eggs, water balloons, and more! Dress for Mess!
BIRDIES & EAGLES, Whitney Casada: Do you have it in you? Are you the next Tiger, Annika or Phil? Come join the fun as you learn all about the game of golf. You’ll learn terminology, scoring, and basic techniques of the game. “Safe” clubs will be provided for the younger kids … the older age group (10-12) may bring their own club.
TENNIS, Sean Ayers: The basic skills of tennis are taught--for eye-hand coordination, competitiveness and fun. The class will include rules, mini-tennis fundamentals, and shot production. For those with some tennis skills, an intermediate approach will be used.
